Yes. The Arbitration Law (Decree 67-95, 1995) modernized domestic and international arbitration and provides that foreign awards are recognized under the 1958 New York Convention. It works alongside the right to turn to international arbitration recognized by the Foreign Investment Law (Decree 9-98) and Guatemala's membership of the ICSID Convention, in force for the country since 20 February 2003.
