The Labor Code (Decree 1441) sets the day shift (6:00–18:00) at a maximum of 8 hours a day and 48 a week; the night shift (18:00–6:00) at 6 hours a day and 36 a week; and the mixed shift at 7 hours a day and 42 a week (summary by PeersLegal). The Constitution, article 102(g), establishes 44 effective hours a week 'equivalent to 48 for the sole purpose of wage payment'.
