Advance Guatemala is an information service. It gathers official figures with their unit, period, source and retrieval date, and publishes documents and tables as each source publishes them. It always distinguishes between:

• verified figures, checked against their official source on the date shown with them;
• documents as each source publishes them, which have not passed that check;
• answers, which summarise documents and cite each one.

Nothing published is legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice. Do not make decisions on the basis of this site without checking the official source and consulting a qualified professional in Guatemala.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you create an account, you accept them expressly when you do. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

You may consult, quote and link to the content for personal, professional, academic and journalistic purposes. When you quote a figure, cite its original source and, if you wish, Advance Guatemala.

You may not:

• copy the content or database in bulk, or extract it automatically, without written permission (automated access goes through the API, under its own terms);
• overload the site, get around usage limits or security measures, or try to access other people's accounts;
• present the content as your own, alter figures or remove their source;
• use the site for unlawful purposes or to send unlawful, misleading or harmful content.

You can sign in with your Google account. We set no minimum age of our own; Google sets it for its accounts. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can close it at any time from your account or by writing to privacy@advanceguate.com; closing it deletes your data as the privacy notice describes. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Figures, documents and laws come from public institutions and international organisations and remain under their source's terms, which are linked next to each item. News headlines belong to their outlets; we show only the headline, date, outlet and a link. Our own texts, the selection and organisation of the content, the design and the Advance Guatemala name belong to the operator.

Some answers may be generated automatically from the site's documents. They are marked as automated, cite the documents they use and may contain errors: always check the cited sources.

The site is provided "as is". Each figure was checked on the retrieval date shown; the source may have corrected it since. We do not guarantee the site is free of errors or available without interruption.

To the extent Guatemalan law allows, the operator is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the site's content or for damage arising from its use or unavailability.

Links to third-party sites are there to check sources; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

No figure is corrected silently: every correction is recorded with the previous value, the new value and the reason. To report an error, or to ask for information about your organisation to be corrected or removed, follow the corrections and removal procedure.

We may update these terms. The current version carries its date; significant changes are announced on the site and, if you have an account, by e-mail.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala. Any dispute goes to the courts of Guatemala City.
