02What we keep and why

We do not ask for data we do not need. Please do not type personal data into your questions.
03Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work, such as your session if you sign in, and we keep display preferences (for example the light or dark theme) in your browser. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics that identify people. The full list, with each name and how long it lasts, is in the cookie policy.
04Who else handles your data

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. We would hand it to an authority only where the law requires.
05Transfers outside Guatemala
Several providers are outside Guatemala, so your data may be handled in other countries, under each provider's security measures.
06Your rights
You can ask us at any time what data of yours we hold, have it corrected or deleted, unsubscribe from the e-mail or close your account. Write to privacy@advanceguate.com. We reply within 15 days.
07Security
All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is restricted and we keep as little as possible. No system is infallible: if an incident affected your data, we would tell you.
08Minors
The site is for everyone, including students under 18, who may open an account. Sign-in is with a Google account, whose own terms set the minimum age for holding one. For a minor's account we keep the same as for any other account, described above, and nothing more.
09Changes
If we change this notice, we publish the new version with its date and, if you have an account, tell you by e-mail.
