A toll (peaje) is the network cost paid by a user of the transmission system; absent agreement between the parties, the CNEE sets it (art. 64 of the General Electricity Act). The total toll in force in 2026 for the secondary system of ETCEE (INDE) is US$28,476,015.16 a year, broken down by region and system in Resolution CNEE-140-2026. Updates are piecemeal: Resolution CNEE-275-2026 of Jul 28, 2026 accepted the 3.6 MVAR capacitor bank installed on the 34.5 kV bus of the Cruz de Santiago substation and added US$63,943.29 a year to the maximum toll of RECSA's secondary sub-transmission system, Western Region. The AMM counted 15 authorised transmission companies as of 1 April 2025; transmission companies include ETCEE (INDE), RECSA and TRELEC.
