According to the cited documentsTalent and labour

Working-age population (INE series)

12.0 M

+5.3%vs 2023 (ENCOVI)2024INE

INE's series shows a working-age population of 11.8 million (2021), 11.9 million (2022), 11.4 million (2023, measured by ENCOVI) and 12.0 million (2024); the employed went from 7.2 to 7.0, 6.6 and 7.7 million over the same years. As a secondary contrast, the World Bank (ILO model) estimates the total labor force at 7,519,217 in 2024 and 7,684,762 in 2025, below the economically active population of 8.2 million that ENEIC reports for Q2 2025. The difference stems from different methodologies (national survey versus international model) and must be made explicit when citing.
