What are the Single Window for Investments (VUI) and the Investor Room?

The Single Window for Investments (VUI) is a virtual single point of contact for finding out what is required to set up in Guatemala. President Alejandro Giammattei and Economy Minister Janio Rosales launched it at an event in the Palacio Nacional de la Cultura: the AGN report carries the dateline '1 jun' and was published on June 2, 2022, and Liberal GT's coverage of the same event announced Yazaki's plant opening at the same time. The Investor Room (Sala del Inversionista), 'a physical space inside the iconic Palacio Nacional de la Cultura that will allow the President of the Republic, the Minister of the Economy and other senior authorities to meet national and international businesspeople interested in investing in the country' (prensa.gob.gt release), was presented at the same event. The VUI is not to be confused with Invest Guatemala, which presents itself as 'the private investment promotion agency' (investguatemala.com).
