Mixco dominates the metropolitan northwest with the El Naranjo corridor (zone 4 of Mixco, at the Naranjo-Minerva interchange), home to logistics developments such as Distribodegas, Districentro, Internaranjo, the El Naranjo Business Zone (~40 manzanas, described as 100% industrial - a promotional claim) and the Las Tunas Industrial Park, plus the Sadinsa free zone (Condado El Naranjo). A building permit requires conforming land use, a municipal clearance certificate, property tax (IUSI) paid up to date and plans signed by a licensed professional; the Construction and Urban Planning Regulation was amended by Council Minute 111-2018. The municipality publishes its Cadastre/IUSI Manual of Rules and Procedures (2023). 2025 ICL: 4th in the country (74.41).

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
