Guatemala's nominal GDP in 2024 was Q878,387.4 million (preliminary Banguat figures). Nine departments account for ~76%: Guatemala (43.6%), Escuintla (8.9%), Quetzaltenango (4.3%), Alta Verapaz (3.7%), Huehuetenango (3.7%), San Marcos (3.3%), Chimaltenango (3.1%), Quiché (2.9%) and Petén (2.9%). By region in 2023 (national GDP Q817,413 million): Metropolitana 43.3%, Suroccidental 15%, Central 14.3%, Nororiental 7.7%, Noroccidental 6.65%, Suroriental 5.4%, Norte 4.7% and Petén 3%.
