The ENEI has been replaced by the ENEIC (Continuous National Employment and Income Survey), quarterly since 2024. Fourth-quarter 2024 results: a labor force of 7.8 million (aged 15 and over), 21.8% metropolitan urban, 37.1% other urban and 41.1% rural; overall participation rate 65.4% (metropolitan 68.6%, other urban 66.8%, rural 62.7%); open unemployment 1.7% (metropolitan 3.4%, other urban 1.5%, rural 1.0%); visible underemployment 14.6% (rural 15.7%, metropolitan 14.0%, other urban 13.8%); informality 67.9% (rural 78.2%, other urban 66.7%, metropolitan 50.1%). Key limitation: the ENEIC publishes by study domain, not by department; the departmental labor force comes from the 2018 Census (REDATAM).

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
