Registering a lodging establishment with INGUAT is mandatory and free. Typical requirements, per a private guide: commercial license (patente de comercio), taxpayer registration (RTU), national ID (DPI), photographs, drawings, a health license from the Ministry of Health (MSPAS) and a fire department certificate, renewed annually.
