The uncomfortable reading: Guatemala grows three years running and still takes in a third of Costa Rica's total (1,848/5,403 = 34%) and about 41% of the Dominican Republic's, with an economy of equal or greater size; on FDI as a share of GDP it beats only Honduras. UNCTAD: FDI into Latin America fell 12% in 2024 to US$164,000 M (the country annex is blocked). The Banguat figure for 2025 is US$1,881.7 M preliminary.
