Wikipedia synthesisWikipedia

The Northern Transversal Strip and the north of Huehuetenango, Quiché and Alta Verapaz record up to about 5,550 mm a year, the highest in the country: surface abundance, though this is also the area of the hydroelectric conflicts (Oxec, the Cahabón river). Petén and northern Alta Verapaz receive 1,000-2,500 mm a year with rain almost all year round: water available, little infrastructure. The values are a synthesis of balances from Wikipedia (Hidrografía de Guatemala).
