Villa Nueva treatment plants working properly

~25% of ~150

2017República

The model is an own well plus a mandatory treatment plant under AG 236-2006. The weaving-dyeing-finishing cluster (Villa Nueva, Mixco, the Pacific highway) operates in the Amatitlán basin on groundwater self-supply; the sector documents new 2024 investments in spinning mills, textiles and dyeing (Vestex; PRONACOM). Compliance context: only about 25% of Villa Nueva's roughly 150 treatment plants were working properly in 2017, and the Villalobos still receives 2.5 m³/s of wastewater. The ESG differential for an entrant is large and visible.
