Once the resolution approving the environmental instrument is issued, the environmental license is applied for; it "certifies approval of the instrument… and legally authorizes execution or continuation" of the project. Filing is done electronically through SAGA, the Sistema Ágil de Gestión Ambiental (saga.marn.gob.gt); notices (edictos), case-file status, registered consultants and the Listado Taxativo can be consulted at marn.gob.gt/material-de-apoyo-v-ambiente/. Official license costs and timelines by category are not published on the pages consulted.
