In the 2024-2025 coffee year Guatemala exported 3.73 million quintals of green coffee (equivalent to 2.86 million 60 kg bags) for US$1,285 million, according to Anacafé; in calendar year 2025 foreign exchange earnings were US$1,307 million (Banguat via Prensa Libre). Destinations: North America 52%, Europe 26%, Asia 20%. Coffee was the largest earner of foreign exchange, at 11% of total exports through July 2025 (Banguat via Anacafé); it is grown by 125,000 families and generates some 500,000 jobs a year. The 2023-2024 harvest closed at 4.08 million according to Prensa Libre, but the headlines mix bags and quintals, so the units must be reconciled in the data phase. The audit of 19 August 2026 verified the Anacafé block with no changes.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
