The profile the BPO sector predominantly hires is a customer-service agent with B1 English, basic office software skills and, preferably, sales experience (Forbes Centroamérica, December 2024). To feed that pipeline, companies in the sector created the Finishing School program with AGEXPORT in 2015, which placed more than 2,500 people in jobs in its first 24 months; in 2018 the sector set a target of training 30,000 young people a year in basic English, 15,000 in intensive intermediate and 1,500 in English plus advanced technical skills (AGEXPORT Hoy). The size of the employable B2+ pool is not public: AGEXPORT does not publish it and its sector website blocks automated access; the contact point is AGEXPORT's Contact Center & BPO Commission.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
