In April–June 2025 (ENEIC), women are the majority of the working-age population (6,664,982 against 5,866,827 men) but a minority of the economically active population: 3,233,532 women against 4,983,527 men. The employed population comprises 4,906,758 men and 3,129,328 women. Open unemployment falls more heavily on women: 104,204 unemployed women against 76,769 unemployed men. All are estimates with 95% confidence intervals from INE's ENEIC Bulletin No. 1.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
