SCS Global Services says on its site that it offers Rainforest Alliance auditing and certification in several countries, Guatemala among them. Primus Auditing Ops, a privately held California food safety corporation providing third-party auditing services, offers PrimusGFS audits. According to its site, PrimusGFS is a GFSI-recognized certification program covering Good Agricultural Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety management systems. The scheme is owned and managed by Azzule Systems, and its version 3.2 includes HACCP and Preventive Control modules; the page also links a guide to the FSMA-specific summary sub-report. A Kiwa Peru training page says PrimusGFS has a presence in 22 countries. In a company text published on DesarrolloGt in September 2018 (the article body does not print it), Kiwa BCS said it supported small and large farmers and businesses in Guatemala from its regional office in Costa Rica and offered organic, sustainable, social and food safety certification services; this is a 2018 description that may no longer hold. According to that text, the company, then BCS Öko-Garantie, was accredited in 1992 as a private control body under the European regulation on organic products, and in August 2014 it joined the Kiwa group and took the name Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie. Kiwa Costa Rica also publishes the case of Café de Mi Tierra, a family business in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, that obtained organic certification; according to that page, Kiwa's support "was a determining factor" along the way.
Which other international certifiers operate in Guatemala (PrimusGFS, Kiwa, SCS), and is there reputational risk in palm?
