A commercial directory (Zipmec) lists Fyffes Guatemala as an exporter and producer at Hacienda Quebrada Honda-Aldea El Guayabal, Estanzuela, Zacapa. According to its page, AGEXPORT's Fruits Commission groups companies that produce and export fruits such as melon, blackberry, blueberry and strawberry. Berries: according to Estuardo Castro, president of Agritrade, quoted by Portal Frutícola (May 25, 2022), blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are grown in Guatemala's highlands (Huehuetenango, Quiché, San Marcos and Jalapa). The same article reports that Planesa, under the Pure Fresh brand, exports more than 50% of Guatemala's blackberry production to the United States and Europe. Its Logistics and Export Manager stated that the company is the country's second-largest French bean exporter and the largest berry exporter.
