COMBEX-IM is the cargo terminal at La Aurora: a private non-profit company run by the main business chambers, handling perishables, dry cargo and courier traffic. In 2017 it opened a climate-controlled area for export perishables, presented as the first of its kind in Central America (it removes mixed zones and maintains the cold chain). The physical constraint: it operates on the same footprint assigned some 30 years ago (~22,000 m²) and in 2020 estimated that it needed to grow by about 50% over 10 years (figures from El Economista). Its perishables handling tariff is not public.
