A temporary residency running beyond 5 years requires a move to permanent residency (art. 78 of the Migration Code). The payment method (in quetzales at the day's exchange rate, at bank branches inside the IGM), stated in earlier versions. Service is at the Subdirectorate of Immigration Affairs, 6a Avenida 3-11, Zona 4, Guatemala City; telephone 2411-2411; Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 15:00.
