According to PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries (reviewed Jun 9, 2026), the employer contributes 12.67% of the monthly payroll to social security and the employee 4.83% of monthly pay; PwC states there are no payroll taxes other than social security and does not break that figure down. That 12.67% is the total employer social charge collected through the IGSS payroll. As a total-cost reference, the State Department's ICS 2024 notes that mandatory benefits, bonuses and employer contributions can come to around 55% of an employee's base salary.
