In March 2016 APM Terminals completed the purchase of the port and rail operations of Spain's Grup Marítim TCB for around US$1,000 million: 8 terminals with some 2 million weighted TEU, a package that included the Guatemalan terminal. The source (Wikipedia) does not break out how much of that value corresponds to Quetzal. The terminal opened on 24 November 2017.
