How many ships call at Guatemala's ports each year and how are they split between ports?

Ship calls in 2025 came to 3,190, 2% more than in 2024, according to the CPN's 2025 Port Statistical Report cited by Infobae. For 2024 the CPN's Informe Estadístico Portuario 2025 records 3,134 ship calls: Puerto Quetzal 1,156 (36.9%), Santo Tomás de Castilla 1,144 (36.5%), Puerto Barrios 614 (19.6%) and the rest of the system 220 (7.0%); in 2025 they were 1,235, 1,179 and 570. The 43% / 37% / 20% split that circulated in the press does not match the CPN and was removed.
