According to the Superintendent of Banks' report as of December 2025, the banking system's net assets came to Q642,350.0 million (+12.3% year on year) and banks' pre-tax profits to Q10,961.3 million (+3.1%). Banks hold 93.3% of the assets of the regulated financial system: 18 banks (10 of them inside financial groups), 1 more added as of September 2025 and 2 in formation. A caution: the banking regulator's (SIB) PDF could not be reopened in the audit of 22 August 2026 because the site blocks automated downloads; the asset figure was confirmed only through the PDF's search index, and the 93.3%, the 18 banks and the profit figure remain to be cross-checked.
