Sae-A Trading (Korea) makes garments in Mixco and Villa Nueva through Sae A International S.A. (zone 7 of Mixco); the start date does not appear in the sources — the phrase "since the 90s" was withdrawn in audit. In February 2019 it announced a chemical fiber, fabric and polyester dyeing complex of about US$400 M with 1,500–2,000 jobs, operational "in three years" (Prensa Libre). By July 2019 the investment was still "under review" ("we have not yet made our investment decision") and Just Style put the project at about US$200 M and the existing knit-fabric operation at more than 5,000 employees — a discrepancy in the amount that remains unresolved. No confirmation was found that the complex was ever built; the last public signal dates from July 2019.
