None of the three names has citable backing. Grupo Karim's (Pakistan/Honduras): its corporate page names no subsidiaries and no countries and makes no mention of Guatemala, so the earlier claim about "American Textile & Apparel (labels) in Guatemala" was left unsupported in the 2026-08-22 audit; the bulk of the group (GK Textiles, Green Valley; US$236 M in projects in 2022-2023) is in Honduras, and no park or apparel plant of its own was found in Guatemala. "Winners": no citable Guatemalan maquila by that name appeared in the search. "Textiles del Lago": no industrial mill of that name was found — the results correspond to artisan cooperatives around Lake Atitlán. In all three cases the dossier suggests confirming the corporate name with VESTEX or dropping it.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
