Tropical depressions Eta and Iota struck in November 2020. The UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) published the official assessment “Evaluación de los efectos e impactos de las depresiones tropicales Eta y Iota en Guatemala” (Feb 2021): the estimated impact on growth was ~0.1 percentage points of GDP, with disproportionate harm to rural Indigenous communities in the middle of the pandemic. The total damage and losses in quetzales/dollars is in ECLAC's full PDF (handle 11362/46681) and has yet to be extracted.
