Annual average exchange rate (World Bank, PA.NUS.FCRF): Q7.68 per dollar in 2025; Q7.76 in 2024; Q7.76 in 2000; a peak of Q8.16 in 2009. Since 1999 the series has moved within a narrow band of ~Q7.3–Q8.2 per dollar (7.76 in 2000 → 7.68 in 2025), a nominal stability unusual among emerging-market currencies, sustained by remittances and an external account in surplus. The atlas archive already holds the fx_usd_gtq and reserves_total_usd series from Banguat (daily/monthly, verified).

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
