International reserves closed 2024 at US$24,400 million, up 14.6% over the year (Fitch, via Investing.com). Coverage per the World Bank (FI.RES.TOTL.MO): 7.4 months of imports in 2024; 6.9 in 2023; 10.2 in 2020. Fitch put the sovereign net external position at 9.8% of GDP in 2024, the strongest in its peer group (median 0.5%).
