In 2024 Guatemala received 3,037,282 non-resident visitors (+15% vs 2023, +19% vs 2019) and US$1,324 million in tourism foreign exchange (+2%), according to AGN and La Hora with INGUAT data; the audit of 19 August 2026 verified the 2024 figure with no changes. For 2025 INGUAT reports 3,361,843 visitors (+11%) and estimated foreign exchange of US$1,390.2 million. INGUAT aims to attract hotel investment and projects growth of about 10% a year (Prensa Libre). The constraints are limited air connectivity, road infrastructure and the perception of insecurity, a synthesis of sector press with no single source.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
