The Sociedad de Emprendimiento (Decree 20-2018) and its limits
- The legal framework for foreign investment
- Company law and minimum capital
- not audited
The Entrepreneurship Strengthening Law (Decree 20-2018) created the Sociedad de Emprendimiento, which is incorporated through its own procedure without a public deed, admits a single shareholder (a natural person) and accepts cash contributions only. It has an annual revenue ceiling of Q5 million; once that ceiling is passed, the company must convert into another corporate form within a maximum of 6 months.
The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
