No open list of aquaculture licences: what DIPESCA publishes and what it does not

The DIPESCA pages reviewed on 2 September 2026 (the Directorate's site on maga.gob.gt and its section within VISAR) publish national, regional and international legislation and the official application form for a commercial-fishing concession; they do not publish a roll of aquaculture licences or a list of authorised shrimp farms or exporters. The law requires every concession to be recorded in a technical file (art. 53), so the register exists as an administrative act but not as open data. The national open-data catalogue (catalogo.senacyt.gob.gt) refused the system's automated queries that same day (HTTP 403), so it could not be confirmed there either. Until the list is public, the honest route to identify suppliers is the one this dossier follows: AGEXPORT's Exporters Directory (membership, not licence), the sanitary and export certifications that VISAR and DIPESCA do publish, and a public-information request to DIPESCA for the roll of current licences.
