Renewable share of generation in 2024 (ECLAC): Costa Rica 89.4% > El Salvador 68.2% > Nicaragua 61.2% > Guatemala 59.5% > Honduras 54.8% > Dominican Republic 16.6%. Electrification rates: Nicaragua 99.6% (2024), Costa Rica 99.4% (2023), Dominican Republic 98.9%, El Salvador 95.1% (2024), Guatemala 90.4% (2023), Honduras 88.2% (2024). Guatemala sells the ‘renewable grid’ narrative, but in the regional data it is fourth of six and its coverage is above only Honduras. Note: the 44% renewable figure in dossier 05 is the AMM's for 2025 and measures supply including 16% imports; ECLAC's 59.5% is for 2024 and measures domestic generation by source — a different year and a different denominator, not contradictory.
