They are different definitions and different sources: the benchmark's ‘labor force’ is the ILO-modeled WDI series (SL.TLF.TOTL.IN, 7,519,217 in 2024), not the economically active population from the INE's ENEIC survey (8.2 million in dossier 04; 7.8 million aged 15 and over in the fourth quarter of 2024 according to dossier 18). The atlas's rule: to compare countries, use the WDI series; for Guatemala on its own, use the ENEIC — do not mix them (cross-reference with 00-INDEX §3, row 26).

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
