EF EPI 2025 (123 countries, global average 488; verified against the official fact sheets): Honduras 32nd, 553 points (high band); El Salvador 47th, 523 (moderate); Costa Rica 55th, 516 (moderate); Nicaragua 60th, 512; Guatemala 61st, 510 (moderate; verified in dossier 04); Dominican Republic 63rd, 503; Mexico 103rd, 440 (low). All of Central America beats Mexico in English, and Guatemala is 6 points behind Costa Rica, but Honduras and El Salvador are clearly ahead of it — a useful data point for the BPO pitch. The worldpopulationreview.com figures labeled ‘2025’ (Guatemala 507/#73) do not match the fact sheets and were discarded.
