Millicom paid the US$2,200 million with a syndicated bridge loan and planned to refinance it in the first quarter of 2022 with US$1,500 million of long-term debt and US$750 million of new equity. The legal advisers were Davis Polk & Wardwell (New York) and Consortium Legal (Guatemala) for Millicom, and Winston & Strawn (New York) and ALTA QIL+4 (Guatemala) for the seller, Miffin Associates. All of this comes from the LexLatin note on the deal.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
