Pan American Silver announced in November 2018 the purchase of Tahoe Resources for around US$1,100 million (about US$5 a share) and closed the deal in February 2019, taking on Escobal with the mine already idle. As of 30 June 2025 the company reports 264.5 million ounces of silver in proven and probable reserves. The amount and the announcement date come from Wikipedia and were verified in the audit of 19 August 2026; the closing date and the reserves are from the corporate page.
