Cervecería Centro Americana was founded in 1886 by Mariano and Rafael Castillo Córdova; its Gallo brand (1896) is the oldest continuously produced beer in Guatemala and the company is the incumbent facing AB InBev. AmBev's entry in 2003 (Cervecería Río in Teculután, Zacapa, the Brahva brand, a joint venture with cbc) and the cross-shareholdings could not be verified in this session, so the atlas does not publish that part until the source is closed.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
