The Guatemala–Peru FTA was signed on 6 December 2011 in Guatemala; a complementary protocol was signed on 23 April 2025 in Lima. Both entered into force on 1 July 2026, fourteen years after signature. Peru ratified them through D.S. 023-2026-RE (published 29 May 2026) and formalized their entry into force through D.S. 007-2026-MINCETUR, published 24 June 2026 — a date corrected in audit; 23 June was previously recorded. The Parties agreed the date after exchanging notifications under the 60-day rule. It is the newest agreement in force for Guatemala.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
