The Chile–Central America FTA is a framework treaty with bilateral protocols that took effect at different times. For Guatemala the bilateral protocol has applied since 23 March 2010 (Costa Rica 14 February 2002, El Salvador 1 June 2002, Honduras 19 July 2008, Nicaragua 19 October 2012). It covers goods, services, investment, intellectual property and dispute settlement, according to Chile's SUBREI. The date comes from the Chilean source and was not cross-checked against the Guatemalan decree.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
