- not audited
The Palín–Escuintla Highway (CA-9 South, the route out to Puerto Quetzal) was awarded as a 25-year concession to Marhnos S.A. in 1997; the concession expired on 30 April 2023. The CIV has run it since 1 May 2023 and formally took delivery of the road on 31 July 2024. No toll is charged at present, and the CIV is weighing reinstating one with weighbridges for heavy cargo. Reconstruction of the sinkhole at km 44 had an end date of 31 March (the year of the report was not confirmed).

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
