Cambalam / Hidro Santa Cruz (Ecoener-Hidralia, Spain) in Santa Cruz Barillas, Huehuetenango (Maya Q'anjob'al people): opposition from 2008, a state of siege in 2012 with one death, and the company left the country on 22 December 2016 without producing a single kWh ('we conclude that it is not possible'), a month after 23,000 signatures against it were delivered. It is the precedent of full withdrawal after 8 years.
