Under Government Agreement 256-2025 (published 22 December 2025, in force from 1 January 2026), the agricultural minimum wage is Q3,791.20 a month in circumscription CE1 (the department of Guatemala) and Q3,625.89 in CE2 (the rest of the country), plus the mandatory incentive bonus of Q250 a month (Decree 78-89, with the amount set by Decree 37-2001, verified in dossier 03). The percentage adjustment against 2025 does not appear in the source and must be calculated against AG 264-2024. The minimum is monthly, not per day worked: piece-rate pay at harvest must be reconciled with the equivalent daily minimum. Prensa Libre published a 2026 guide for calculating benefits (Christmas bonus, bono 14, holidays, IGSS social security, severance) and the total cost per job.
The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
