Kiwa BCS (a Latin American network serving Guatemala) offers EU organic and PrimusGFS; Primus Auditing Ops runs the PrimusGFS scheme (good agricultural and manufacturing practices plus HACCP, with optional FSMA PC), a GFSI benchmark for fresh produce in Latin America with a presence in 22 countries; SCS Global Services certifies Rainforest Alliance in the region. The physical offices of these networks and their accreditation before the national accreditation body (OGA) remain to be verified. One reputational risk signal: a Plaza Pública report questioned the robustness of sustainability certificates in Guatemalan palm ('dubious certificate'), so diligence on the specific certification body is prudent in that chain.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
