The Labor Code sets the day shift at a maximum of 8 hours a day and 48 a week; the night shift at 6 hours and 36 a week; the mixed shift at 7 hours and 42 a week; overtime carries a 50% premium. The implication for plant design — an editorial inference by the dossier, not a citable figure — is that a 24/7 operation requires four crews or a structural overtime bill.
