Yes. The CIV launched an international public tender to widen to four lanes 31 km of the CA-9 North between km 85.3 (El Rancho, El Progreso) and km 120.3 (Teculután, Zacapa), over a 36-month term; the first phase does not include a bypass. Prensa Libre documents an associated loan for the Teculután–Mayuelas stretch. The CA-9 North is the road corridor to Santo Tomás de Castilla and Puerto Barrios. The loan amount and the status of the award are not recorded in the dossier.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
