The CNEE approved without objection the award of 57 projects from 33 companies, contracting 1,258 MW of the ~1,400 MW required (90%). The dominant technology was solar paired with batteries (BESS), with 26 projects awarded; the reported price is ~US$101/MWh, more than 10% below the distributors' current purchase prices. Energia Estrategica headlines that 1,242 MW of solar with storage dominate PEG-5. These are all press figures (Prensa Libre, Energia Estrategica) still to be checked against the award record.
